About Us

The South Bound Brook First Aid Squad is a non-profit Emergency Medical Services organization serving the residents of South Bound Brook Borough since 1937. Our team is comprised of dedicated men and women from and around the Borough of South Bound Brook who volunteer their time to provide timely emergency care and transport in their time of need. Our crew roles include EMTs who provide quality patient care to the standards of the New Jersey Department of Health, Drivers who safely operate our ambulances to ensure our personnel and patients make it to their destination, and Attendants who provide that extra set of hands with lifting, moving, or supporting patients while under the care of our EMTs.

Our first station was located in South Bound Brook on Cedar Street, pictured on the right. As our needs expanded, and ambulance designs required larger homes, we moved to our current station in Franklin Township in the 1990s. This station, located on the corner of Garfield Avenue and Campus Drive, borders South Bound Brook and provides easy access to the residents as well as I-287 North and South from Exit 12.

Giving back to our community is what we love to do the most. We provide services Monday-Friday between 6 PM-6 AM, and 24-hour coverage Saturdays and Sundays. We also provide additional weekday coverage during larger storms, natural disasters, and when higher call volumes place strains on the EMS system in Somerset County.
